Government Engineering College Sheohar (GEC Sheohar) is a premier technical institution established by the Government of Bihar with the objective of providing quality engineering education and nurturing skilled, competent, and socially responsible engineers. The college offers Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) programs in various disciplines, including Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering (Data Science), and Electrical Engineering. It also provides specialized programs such as Civil Engineering with Computer Applications to align with evolving technological and industry requirements.

Admissions to the B.Tech programs are conducted through Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB), based on valid scores obtained in JEE Main conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Candidates are required to participate in UGEAC (Under Graduate Engineering Admission Counselling) through the official BCECEB portal.

Candidates seeking admission to B.Tech programs at GEC Sheohar and other government engineering colleges of Bihar may apply through JEE Main. Students can also apply through BCECE conducted by BCECEB, followed by participation in the UGEAC counselling process.
